Hijacked dream party
Tonight's dream party is, unconventionally enough, not organised by the rift, but by Topher!
Thing is, he was sort of supposed to only pull in a few very specific, targeted people, and all of a sudden, this whole lot comes pouring in. See, he's working with someone with the power of ability amplification, making Topher's dream abilities obscenely powerful for tonight, and he's not quite used to it.
The dreamers will find themselves in an old mansion at nighttime. Lots and lots of rooms; several bedrooms and bathrooms of various sizes, studies, library, sitting rooms, kitchen, dining rooms, games/billiards room, even secret passageways... There's a fire roaring in every grate, everything is warmly lit, with lots of dark corners to sneak off to, comfortable couches, plenty of drinks tables. There's also a pervasive feeling that you're safe, that you can relax. That whispered secrets in the dark will be kept. And everyone will feel much less compelled to judge or mock upon hearing those secrets. A night for confessions. All of a sudden, it's hard to resist opening up...
Of course, the dreamers don't know there's someone listening in, seeing everything that goes on, sometimes even manipulating things to go the way he wants. Certain people with psychic/telepathic/dream abilities may eventually cotton on, though. But it'll take a while. But the secrets you tell in the meantime may not remain secrets for that long. Especially if those secrets are useful to certain other important players in the city, quite apart from the two factions our rifties have become familiar with.
[Mod note: Usual dream party rules apply. All players and characters are welcome, current members or no. Characters will remember or forget all dream events at players' discretion. Bear in mind that any events or information shared in this dream will be available to Topher, and, by extension, probably his bosses, such as Beatrice.]

"My iced sugar cookies are pretty good," he says finally. "My dad always like my spiced pound cake, but that might have just been because he was my dad."

"Okay. Sugar cookies." Decision made, he's all business and he strides to the fridge with purpose. He disappears behind the door for a bit before reemerging, arms loads with ingredients. He pushes the fridge door closed with this heel and spreads his wares over the island.
He gathers clean equipment, glancing Sunshine's way as he starts measuring. "How many do you think I should make?" he asks. If she decided that more food was needed, she must have an idea of how many people they're feeding.

At his question, she shrugs. It's not that there's a shortage of snacks out there so much that there's a shortage of her snacks, so it really comes down to how much they feel like decorating. "A dozen? Two, maybe?" She busies herself with tidying the counters around the sink while Peeta works at the island. "How much decorating do you want to do?"

He sighs as he measures out ingredients, his mental calculations set. "I'll do a couple dozen. If we need or want more, it won't be difficult to make them."

"Sounds good," she says, returning his smile (and managing not to add anything obnoxious, like, 'awww'). Gods, Sunshine, get it together. She goes to straighten up the pantry, where at least he won't have to see her grinning like an idiot.

For the moment, she focuses on digging up the tools. It takes some rummaging; she hasn't made anything that required any fancy piping, so if she saw the tools in her earlier explorations, it was only in passing. On the bright side, she has an excellent instinct for how kitchens are laid out, and it doesn't take her too long to find what Peeta's looking for.

He surveys the tools Sunshine finds with approval. Even at a glance he can tell they're good quality, which will make the delicate designs he has in mind a lot easier.

"Color preferences?" she asks over the sound of the sound of the electric mixer.

"One pattern I want to do can combine any colors, so as long as you have some that contrast well, it shouldn't matter. I would like a nice, deep orange; a soft purple; and a grassy green, if you have the colors for them."
